Literature Text

The beeping of your alarm clock going off once again still doesn't seem to bother you and you hit the snooze button – just like you have been for the past two hours. Only this time you actually open your eyes and realise just how late it has got. Finally, you sit up and rub your eyes. Your hangover prevents you to move straight away so instead you simply sit at the edge of your bed. When you feel you got the energy to stand up, you throw on a dirty pair of jeans and the t-shirt from last night and walk out of the room.

The corridor you walk through leads you into the empty kitchen. You sit down and lay your head on the table, wasting yet another five minutes you really do not have to spare. The realisation hits you that maybe you shouldn't have had as much alcohol as you did last night. Eventually you move your arm to check your watch and where most people would have jumped up in a panic and hurried out of the flat, you decide to get some breakfast first. Lazily you walk over to the fridge, getting out a bagel and the butter pot.  As if you had all the time in the world you butter the bagel, put everything away and finally decide to make your way to your lecture. You grab your bag off of the table and make your way out of the flat. Although you have to hold on to the banister so you don't fall, you still seem to believe you need to eat your bagel while walking down the stairs. When you make it to the exit at last, you open the door and shut your eyes almost immediately.

The sun shines brightly in your face and while you might usually enjoy the warmth of it, today your hangover prevents you from finding this the least bit pleasant. In order to prevent the sun to get into your eyes, you stare at the ground and calmly start walking over to the university building. You check your watch but you seem to have decided that since you're already late you might as well take your time. When you eventually make it to the lecture room, the tutor hasn't started the lecture yet. Thanking your lucky stars you walk to the back of the class and rest your head on the table, trying hard not to fall asleep. You seem to feel that being here and signing the register is all the accomplishment you are able to achieve today so you don't even bother to get out pen and paper. Instead you close your eyes and make a mental note not to drink next weekend, when you already know that you will anyway.
This is the same story as A Student's Life - 1st Person only in this case the story is written in second person...if that wasn't obvious. :P

This is my first proper attempt of writing in second person. Let me know what you think. =)
